The Inorganic Chemistry Division in the Department of Chemistry at Fudan University consists of fourteen full professors, including one academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and four Distinguished Young Scholars of the National Science Foundation of China. Based on the Inorganic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry Divisions, there is the Shanghai Key Laboratory of Molecular Catalysis and Innovative Materials established in 2002. The researches in the Inorganic Chemistry Division mainly focus on design, synthesis and self-assembly of porous and nanoscaled materials, organometallic chemistry, organometallic frameworks, rare-earth metal chemistry, heteropolyacid chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry in fluorescent probe and bioimaging, upconversion luminescence nanoprobes, and molecular switch and devices.
