October 12th, 2018, the Ph.D. candidate students from the Department of Chemistry visited the R&D center of BASF in Pudong District, Shanghai.

Dr. Feng from BASF R&D center gave the brief introduction of BASF industry and showed students around the factory. BASF in China, as the third largest market of BASF SE still achieved sales of 5.9 billion €, with the turbulent and challenging market environment in 2017. Students were all left deep impression by the strict safety regulations, various innovations which perfectly calls the “We create chemistry” slogan by BASF.

The BASF tour gave graduate students a deep understanding of the company's excellent culture, production management and operation methods, strengthened the students' communication ability and skills, increased their knowledge about social economy, and broadened their horizons.
